About my own journey

It all start with...

I remember when I was in high school, and we went to a travel presentation about a guy who traveled around Canada for 3 months with his family. A Czech guy in Canada for 3 months!! For me, it was like an idea out of this world. How did he achieve it? How can someone travel for 3 months. Growing up in a small town in the middle of the Czech Republic it sounded like an idea from another world for me…

First living abroad experience and then many followed…

When I was at university, I took a chance to go to study in Spain. I didn’t know the language and I have never been to Spain before… And I absolutely loved the experience!! Being in a new environment, meting new people, trying the local food. And most importantly, to see that it is possible to choose a place where you want to live and make it work!!

The true nomadic journey started after the Uni. There was an option to find a good job and start to build a career or there was an option to do something else. I voted for the second option and went to live and work for a year in Canary Islands and after that in 2014 I moved to New Zealand. With a friend of mine, we bought a van together and started to work on seasonal jobs. It was like living a dream – working with people from all corners of the world. Often making bon fires, sleeping in different lonely beaches and surfing. Discovering new waterfalls, lakes and mountains on the way. I left New Zealand on an old sailing boat with an even older skipper, and we set the sails across Pacific Ocean..

How Bohemia Adventure started…

There are many adventures and stories to tell. In the last decade I lived in many different countries on 3 continents and visited another more than 40. I met hundreds and hundreds of travelers and locals and exchanged experiences and stories with them. During this time Bohemia Adventure was created, it started as a travel blog and FB page for my friends, so they could follow my journey.

I was constantly learning. About people and world around myself and the most importantly about me. My travel style changed over the time and I stopped to chase the pictures but rather started to enjoy and build deeper connection with places and people. I fell deeply in love with indigenous cultures, working with land and plants and I found myself learning from a teacher in Amazon rain forest and started to work with him and powerful Amazonian plant medicines.

Not everything is roses and rainbows…

People often think about long term travel and nomadic lifestyle, like about never ending holidays. But it has its difficulties, like everything else. March 2020 at the beginning of pandemic I found myself stuck on the other side of the world from Australia a place where I lived at that time.   It took me two years to be able to go back there and when I finally could in 2022, my visa for Australia got declined and the idea about my future home started to slowly disappear. Yes it is not all about wins, sometimes the Universe creates another path then we expected or had planned.

Bohemian Adventure and its mission…

Thanks to those experiences I went through a major changes in my personal and professional life, Bohemian Adventure Travel coaching service was born. Fast-forward in April 2023 I became a certified Travel Coach under The Travel Coach Network and decided to share my experiences with others who feel deep desire to transform their lives, those who want to experience the life to the fullest and who are brave enough to follow their dreams.

Traveling has a huge potential!! It is one of the most powerful tools in our way to self discovery. It teaches us how to function in unexpected situations, how to problem-solve. I believe it has a power to open our hearts and minds. It teaches us kindness, compassion and to appreciate small things in our lives.

And most importantly, it gives us time! Time to be with ourselves, time to reflect on our life, on relationships we have with others, on our values and much more… It gives us time to truly see the beauty all around us.
